Vancouver is typically known for its practical fashion sense and the lumberjack West Coast vibes. We are stereotyped as plaid-wearing, Blundstones-trotting, parka-loving, nature hippies. Yes, it is true that most people I know, including myself, can check off at least two of these things. HOWEVER, Vancouver is also home to international design powerhouses like; Aritzia, lululemon, John Fluevog, Herschel Supply Co., Oak & Fort, etc. I would like to say that in my completely unbiased opinion, Vancouver is filled with down-to-Earth people who also know how to dress up - when we need to. 😂
Last week, Vancouver welcomed close to one hundred budding and renowned fashion designers from all over the world. The runways covered everything from gothic grunge to African-inspired fashion. I had an amazing opportunity to see the newest and the best FW17 collections as well as see the exciting chaos that goes on behind the stage. Keep scrollin' to see what I saw!
Can I just point out that pointy shoes are in?
This one wins especially because the designer knew how to THROW IT DOWN. 🙌
Looking forward to VFW 2018!
