Hair style

Hello Civello

Say hello to the beautifully transformed Civello on South Granville. I was lucky to join the team on their grand re-opening of the salon for a sneak peek of what's trending this season and get some inspiration for my holiday look. ;)

The two founding partners, Daisy Colina (left) and Ray Civello (right).

Definitely felt hair-envy for all the models. I am very excited for what kind of look they will create on me in the future (will keep you posted!).

If you know and love Aveda products, rest assured that you will be in good hands and your hair will be pampered with natural products. Ray Civello has a deeply rooted relationship with Aveda as the founder of Collega International, which is the sole distributor of Aveda products in Canada as well as the parent company to 4 Aveda Institutes across the nation. Need I say more? You can trust his salons with your hair.

I highly recommend checking them out. Especially if you have been searching for a team who understands your natural hair and who will make sure you leave the salon with healthy locks! If you are unfamiliar with Aveda products, I would suggest that you walk into an Aveda Institute and the experts there will ED.U.CATE. you.

Kudos to all hairstylists who help people look and feel beautiful, inside and out!

Aveda Institute of Vancouver

My long, straight hair has been a signature look of mine - not really by choice, but out of complete laziness. Thankfully, I recently had the opportunity to have my hair transformed by Aveda Institute of Vancouver. Things got SPICED UP.

Aveda Institute of Vancouver is located at the heart of Gastown, Vancouver where the stylish hipsters roam free. Aveda Institutes throughout North America provide world-class education and produce professional hair stylists who encompass excellent technical skills and knowledge to succeed in their career. If you are interested in becoming a hair stylist, getting your education through Aveda Institute will definitely give you the tools to be prepared for the real world.  The facility was well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the service was amaaaazing. Depending on who styles your hair (or how much your stylist likes you) you may get a head/shoulder rub.

My hair adventure came in two parts - I had my hair coloured with pure red pigment on the first day and my hair cut on the second.

Shout out to Kadan (@kanalee) who gave me an amazing new hair colour. You can find him at Eliane Hair and Spa in Vancouver's Point Grey area.

I was one of the five hair models that participated in a network class offered for professional stylists. My hair was cut and styled by Aveda Institute's Creative Director, Sherman Wong (@sherman_wong). Needless to say, he is extremely talented at what he does. If you are looking for a fun new look, or if you just really need someone to tame your hair, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Sherman.

Chop, chop, chop and snip, snip, snip, later...

The final look! I look way edgier than I actually am, but I like that it gives my hair some personality! It's so different and creative, I LOVE IT! Thank you Aveda for the cool opportunity!

Getting your hair styled doesn't have to break the bank. You can book an appointment with the students at Aveda Institute - don't worry, there are instructors on site at all times who will ensure that you leave happy. :)
