Vancouver Fashion Week

Vancouver is typically known for its practical fashion sense and the lumberjack West Coast vibes. We are stereotyped as plaid-wearing, Blundstones-trotting, parka-loving, nature hippies. Yes, it is true that most people I know, including myself, can check off at least two of these things. HOWEVER, Vancouver is also home to international design powerhouses like; Aritzia, lululemon, John FluevogHerschel Supply Co., Oak & Fort, etc. I would like to say that in my completely unbiased opinion, Vancouver is filled with down-to-Earth people who also know how to dress up - when we need to. 😂

Last week, Vancouver welcomed close to one hundred budding and renowned fashion designers from all over the world. The runways covered everything from gothic grunge to African-inspired fashion. I had an amazing opportunity to see the newest and the best FW17 collections as well as see the exciting chaos that goes on behind the stage. Keep scrollin' to see what I saw!

Can I just point out that pointy shoes are in?

This one wins especially because the designer knew how to THROW IT DOWN. 🙌

Looking forward to VFW 2018!

Hello Civello

Say hello to the beautifully transformed Civello on South Granville. I was lucky to join the team on their grand re-opening of the salon for a sneak peek of what's trending this season and get some inspiration for my holiday look. ;)

The two founding partners, Daisy Colina (left) and Ray Civello (right).

Definitely felt hair-envy for all the models. I am very excited for what kind of look they will create on me in the future (will keep you posted!).

If you know and love Aveda products, rest assured that you will be in good hands and your hair will be pampered with natural products. Ray Civello has a deeply rooted relationship with Aveda as the founder of Collega International, which is the sole distributor of Aveda products in Canada as well as the parent company to 4 Aveda Institutes across the nation. Need I say more? You can trust his salons with your hair.

I highly recommend checking them out. Especially if you have been searching for a team who understands your natural hair and who will make sure you leave the salon with healthy locks! If you are unfamiliar with Aveda products, I would suggest that you walk into an Aveda Institute and the experts there will ED.U.CATE. you.

Kudos to all hairstylists who help people look and feel beautiful, inside and out!
